What does SpotifyTranscript do?+
SpotifyTranscript adds a lyrics panel to the right side of the Spotify web player with built-in playback controls (play/pause/next/previous/progress). It auto-highlights the current line with scroll and sync — all in one page.
What's included in the free version?+
The free version includes a side lyrics panel, auto-scroll sync, current-line highlighting, one-click sidebar toggle, built-in playback controls, and bilingual Chinese-English lyrics layout.
What does Pro unlock?+
Pro unlocks advanced lyrics themes and styles, real-time floating lyrics overlay (pinned on top of any page), lyrics export to .txt and .lrc, custom panel width and fonts, and lyrics favorites with local history.
How much does it cost?+
The first 100 users get an early-bird lifetime deal at $9 — pay once, use forever. After the first 100, Pro will switch to a subscription model. The price is shown before checkout.
What playback controls are available?+
The free version already includes full playback controls: play/pause, previous/next track, and progress seeking. All controls are within the lyrics sidebar — no need to switch back to the main Spotify interface.
What is the floating lyrics overlay?+
Floating lyrics overlay is a Pro feature that displays a small always-on-top window showing real-time lyrics. No matter which tab or app you switch to, you can always see the current lyrics.
Where do the lyrics come from?+
Lyrics come from Spotify's available lyrics data for the current song. If a song has no lyrics or Spotify hasn't provided them yet, the extension cannot generate content.
What export formats are supported?+
Pro supports exporting to plain text .txt and timestamped .lrc format. Exports include lyrics text and timestamps, ready to import into other lyrics tools or note apps.
Does it access my Spotify account or listening history?+
No. The core functionality only reads lyrics data and playback state for the current song on the current page. The extension does not access your Spotify account, playlists, or full listening history.
Can I get a refund?+
You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase if the product doesn't work as described. Contact support@ideaguard.dev. Refund terms are subject to the refund policy in our Terms of Service.
Is this extension affiliated with Spotify?+
No. SpotifyTranscript is an independent browser extension. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify or Spotify AB.
